7 Diet Tips to Look Better Naked

Put the finishing touches on your physique with these smart eating tips to get ripped.

Every guy knows how the right clothes can make him look thinner. Put on a well-tailored suit, and your shoulders will look broader. Dress up in a dark shirt, and it’ll appear to slim you down.

But going naked? With nothing to hide your little pockets of extra fat? That’s the ultimate test of a great physique.

And while plenty of hours in the gym will go a long way toward making you look great no matter what, maintaining an enviable body mostly depends on your dietary habits. (Say it With us: “Abs are made in the kitchen.”) Adopt these seven nutrition tips and tricks, and your summer beach body will be ready in no time.

1. Take branched chain amino acids

Taking 10 grams of BCAAs first thing in the morning will help regulate insulin levels, increase growth hormone, reduce hunger, and give your body a quick burst of aminos that it needs to stay in a more anabolic state.

2. Ditch all processed carbs

Only opt for whole food sources of carbohydrates. Sweet potatoes, rice, lots of veggies and a piece or two of fruit should make up your carbohydrate choices. This will help with not only fat loss, but it will help you hold less water, and make your body look leaner, dryer, and harder.

3. Drink more water and eliminate other drinks

Your cup of Joe or tea in the morning is fine, just no alcohol (until the big day), soda, and juice. Shoot for at least a gallon of water a day.

4. Ramp up your protein intake

Even if you do eat a lot of protein, eat more. I simply add in a couple of whey protein shakes to fend off hunger and make up for the carbs that I will be cutting this week. You also want to make sure you have enough protein while you are low on calories and carbohydrates so that way you can preserve muscle and assist recovery.

5. Consider eating less often

You may be used to eating every 2-3 hours, but try three meals a day, plus your post-workout shake. This is an easy way to cut some calories. Just be sure to get enough protein in each day.

6. Take a 5-10 minute walk after each meal

There has been some research done that shows if you are active right after a meal, you can improve digestion, increase energy, and yes, increase your metabolism. This can all lead to more fat loss.

7. Practice “table pushaways”

Simply push away from the table when you become about 80 percent full. It’s hard, but an essential part of the “Look Good Naked” plan. Once you’re done eating, start to drink some water to fend off the hunger.
